Italia Roadtrip

J arranged this trip as a surprise for our 1 year anniversary. Probably one of the best weeks of my life. Italy is incredibly beautiful and the roadtrip meant that we got to see and experience some really amazing places.

Why can’t I live here again?

Fiat 500s have a special place in our heart. We used one as a wedding car just because we love them and then had this baby for our roadtrip #firstlove

Picnic with a view

Once we got over the fact that I am an incredibly nervous passenger (especially when on the other side of the road!) we had a great time. The lovely Italian wine did really help with that πŸ˜‰

*Thank you J for topping off such an incredible first year together with this trip*

Italia Roadtrip – Mountain stay

Agriturismo Casa Turchetti is a hidden gem. It is miles away from anywhere, literally hidden on the side of a mountain. This was by far our favourite place that we stayed. It is a small B&B run by a lovely family who own a farm next door that supplies the restaurant. Their fresh pasta and meat is probably the best that I have ever tasted. Serious food heaven!

Agriturismo Casa Turchetti
Welcome

It isΒ the perfect place for a romantic getaway/honeymoon. There are only a few rooms and it is just the most peaceful place that I have ever been. Jono booked to stay here for two nights with the intention of visiting Cinque Terre but we loved this place so much that we didn’t even go to Cinque Terre *shame*! We couldn’t justify leaving this beautiful place.Β

Breakfast for two?

The Pool – we had this to ourselves pretty much the whole time that we were there. The views were incredible and it was just totally peaceful.

Possibly the best food that we have ever eaten, outstanding service and so reasonably priced. Bliss.

Lago Di Garda

‘Just’ an incredibly stunning lake surrounded by mountains and pure beauty. We knew we wanted to visit Lago Di Garda but the pedalo was a spontaneous decision which involved changing into swimwear in a car park. Totally worth the brief public nudity.
